Our client is an international chemical corporation. The company is a leading manufacturer and exporter of over 500 high quality products including agrochemicals, bulk drugs and bulk drug intermediates, cresols and cresol derivatives, dyes and dye intermediates, epoxy resins and epoxy hardeners, formaldehyde, speciality chemicals and wood adhesives.

| Task: |
The main purpose of the job will be to raise the the quality level of the textile dyes product portfolio to a state-of the art position by providing a new impetus to new product development. This will be by both innovative new chemistry, and selective development of known market leading products.
The successful candidate will work closely with the marketing department in targetting, testing and developing new products. He will lead the patenting and registration world wide of new chemical structures, and will set up the required procedures for so doing.
It will involve liason with subsidiary companies in Europe and USA as well as with contacts in the companies headquarters.
He will head a significant team of experienced technical staff and people management.

| Requirements: |
A thorough chemical background knowledge of Reactive, Disperse, Direct, and Vat dyes for textiles would be a major advantage.
Familiarity with the compliance requirements in these fields for new product introductions is essential.
People management, development and motivational skills are essential.
A history of financial management and risk assessment of R&D portfolios will be an advantage.
Fluent English.
